The Astrological Society

The Astrological Society was founded to promote the development of the Sidereal Body of Man: the basis of human consciousness through which we can evolve and grow.

The Society's prime objective is teaching Astrology as a way to extend awareness and creativity in the practitioner. The development of traditional astrological skills is seen as inseparable from the development of the practitioner, therefore work is divided between teaching skills and the underlying principles implicit in the art. Meditation is encouraged to provide a stable foundation for the development of insight and growth of being.

Teaching within the Society is centred on group meetings to build a firm foundation and common purpose: the exchange of ideas, observations and experience creates a vitality and impetus which aids the growth of the individual. Humanity is the cosmos's reflection and Astrology its structure, therefore the Society emphases its practical value in everyday life by the application of principle to deepen understanding.

Astrological research in encouraged, including applying the fundamental laws of astrology to the galactic rather than the zodiacal plane, seeking a new perspective of man's position in the Universe.

Original work over the past 20 years forms an important element in the Society's methods including:

• A galactic astrology and cosmology.
• Astrologically based meditation and physical movements.
• Construction and use of stone circles
