Correspondence CourseIf you are interested in what you have seen about Saros - if it looks like a line of work for you - then we can put you in touch with people to work with you by post or email. Nobody should attempt this course if they are afraid of change. An introduction to the course is given below, with instructions for how to apply. The course costs $75 (£50) for the first six months, which covers the costs of advertising and administering the course. |
Saros is a foundation for the perpetuation of knowledge. A brief historical perspective should put you in the picture:
Since ancient times people have had to face the unknown. Sometimes they ventured there willingly, at other times accidentally. These encounters had a dramatic impact, affecting perceptions of the world, relationships with others and the ways in which daily affairs were handled.
Groups of people began to meet in a variety of places to try and make sense of what they experienced. As a result of these meetings they had to develop a framework capable of describing other orders of reality in comprehensible terms. They also cultivated the art of living. It was not long before they used music, art, dance and script as a means of communication with each other. The tales of these explorers have survived in myths and songs forming an oral tradition which continues to the present day.
Two qualities distinguished those first travellers from other powerful figures of the times. First of all they were not really concerned with the acquisition of personal power or material possessions, nor were they satisfied with the status quo. Those who travelled far on this path had integrity. They had a healthy fear of the unknown and so they learned how to behave impeccably in the face of it. They valued knowledge, did what they did because they simply wanted to and because they saw that it was necessary. Their other quality was a strong belief in themselves which gave them the courage of their convictions, a faith in their own experience using it as a foundation to build bridges into the unknown.
Being practical philosophers they also constructed theories to chart the salient points of their journeys. These served as markers so that they and other future travellers would not get lost in the unknown. As a result of this a sound body of knowledge was built over the centuries which demonstrated the relationship which exists between man and the divine worlds.
Formulations of knowledge have been expounded by mystics of various religions; based on experience, their insights added to the quality of life in temples and churches. Their work was essential in providing a living link between man and the divine without which the various vehicles which people use to raise themselves from the ordinary to the miraculous would be lifeless shells. Insight is as relevant today as it was in the past and its seeds will ensure that the future rests on real foundations the roots of which reach all the way to heaven! It is in this spirit that we now invite pilgrims to join us in the exploration of dragonways ancient and modern.
Should you wish to join this group, you will need to fulfil certain requirements which are essential for a journey such as this and to ensure that a working relationship is possible between yourself and others in the group.
You will have to create a space for work. Starting something afresh is hard enough without extraneous influences. You will need a physical space in your environment, not necessarily a separate room - a chair and a table will do. You should also set aside a time each day when you are alone and free from distraction.
You will need a personal moral code, a sense of self-respect and integrity. These guard against follies and illusions on the journey.
You will have to apply yourself to the study and practice of a philosophical framework. The work is not about acquiring information or 'pie in the sky' dreams, nor is it just an intellectual exercise. It is based on your observation and action. A large part of your fieldwork will take place in your daily life in the outside world. You will not be told what to do or think, but you will have to use your own discrimination in what you are asked to consider, and to record your observations in a form which is comprehensible to others.
The work should not interfere with your professional or religious duties, but it can produce change. One of the starting points for this journey is that you and only you are responsible for the way you live. Saros will not accept liability for any developments from or consequences of work that you may or may not do.
For our part, we undertake to supply you with the necessary information and instructions, and to consider your responses and reports on previous work. For your part, you undertake to pay $75 (£50) to cover the costs of material for the first six months. If you wish to apply, answer the questions below, and send them with a bankers draft - to Saros International - for $75 in US dollars or £50 Pounds Sterling (covering the first six months) to:

We will then send you some papers containing material for consideration, observation and action. You will be asked to work on each one in your own time and to report back on your findings. We will then forward the next paper, along with comments and suggestions based on your report.
