Galactic Conversion Tables

(Positions as of Epoch 1950.0)

The Rule of Hermes

If the zodiacal moon is waxing (i.e. from new to full) then this must be converted into the galactic ascendant and the zodiacal ascendant becomes the galactic moon .

For example: if the zodiacal sun is 11° & zodiacal moon is 26° it is waxing and the ascendant e.g. 16° becomes the Galactic moon.

Thus:
Galactic Asc = 26° = 14° Trade
Galactic Moon = Zodiacal Asc = 16° = 8° Rule

If the zodiacal moon is waning (i.e. from full to new) then this must be converted into the galactic descendent and the zodiacal descendent becomes the galactic moon.

For example: if the zodiacal sun is 11° & zodiacal moon is 25° then the moon is waning and the descendent e.g.16° becomes the Galactic moon.

Thus: Galactic Dec.= 25° = 20° Teach. Galactic moon = Zodiacal Dec.= 16° = 8° Explore

The galactic houses are obtained by dividing the zodiac into equal 30° houses from the galactic ascendant/descendant position, and then converting them into galactic longitude, which will mean the Galactic chart is an unequal house system at the galactic level-see example chart.

Thus:
Galactic Asc = 26° = 14° Trade = 1st House Cusp
2nd House Cusp = 26° = 0° Heal and so on.

With the galactic chart being heliocentric the position of the Earth must be obtained. This position will be 180° (opposite) from the zodiacal sun position which is then converted into galactic degrees. e.g: Zodiacal sun = 11° opposite earth = 11° = 27° interpret .
